Adult Small Groups
Hay You’re a Good Mom!
Group for Moms with Young Children
Are you a mom with young children? Would you like to join a group of other Haygood women in a similar place in life? Please join our Haygood moms group which is open to all moms of young children. Our meetings often revolve around fellowship with each other, but we do have programs every few months. The moms of 0-4 year olds meet monthly. If you would like to join us, please email Ella Brigagliano (ella.d.brigagliano@gmail.com).
If your children are 5 or older, the moms meet one evening each month. Please email Elizabeth Parvarandah (elizabeth.n.rogers@gmail.com) to join this group. Looking forward to hearing from our moms - and remember, “Hay You’re a Good Mom!”
United Methodist Men
Thursdays at 7 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, join other men from midtown for bagels, coffee, prayer and guided discussion.
Adult Sunday Discussion Group
Every Sunday morning a group of adults meet in the Church Parlor. They begin to gather at 9:45 a.m., and the discussion is from 10-10:45. This meeting is neither a lecture nor a Bible study although we frequently use Scripture as a starting point for our discussion of personal faith, issues and challenges that all of us face. We welcome adults of all ages.
United Methodist Women
These groups at Haygood provide connection and community by growing relationships among other women and providing places to do God’s work in the community. The United Methodist Women’s global organization focuses on missions impacting women and children. Haygood’s UMW service projects include working with the United Methodist Children’s Home and the Atlanta Women’s and Children’s Day Shelter. At each group meeting, expect a great deal of catching up on our lives, good food, conversation about faith and lots of laughter.
Circle 5
Circle 5 leaders are Anne McGlamry and Sue Mitchell. We schedule monthly meetings in members’ homes on the third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Our focus is fellowship and missions.
Circle 7
All Haygood ladies are welcome! Contact Marie Boatright for more information or transportation needs at marieboatright@gmail.com or 404-625-6579.
Circle 10
Circle 10 is a group of Haygood Women, many with school-aged children, who meet regularly at the homes of Haygood members or restaurants for fellowship, community, friendship and occasional small service projects.
To be included or removed from the Circle emails, or if you have questions, please contact Melody Hunter Chan at melodylynhunter@gmail.com.
