United Methodist Women
Welcome to the Haygood Memorial UMC family! The United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organization that fosters fellowship and camaraderie among the women of Haygood and focuses on spiritual growth and missions locally and abroad. The organization is divided into small groups called circles. We would like to extend an invitation to women of all ages to consider participating in the activities of a circle.
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We would love for you to join us!
General Meetings
Held quarterly throughout the year.
Circle Meetings
Each circle meets once a month at various times based on the activities of the circle members. Below is a list of Haygood Memorial UMC’s circles, including ages and meeting times. While the circles do tend to divide according to age, all are welcome at any circle and we encourage you to attend different groups as you desire. Most circles meet in a different member’s home for each meeting. Some circle also hold annual or semi-annual weekend retreats.
Loretta Bell Circle (ages 60 and up)
First Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at Haygood Memorial UMC. Bible study begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by a program and lunch.
